ATAC is an instructional weapons familiarization course. ATAC provides both individual and small group lesson plans that are tailored to today’s ever-changing dynamic environment. This is accomplished through a series of courses available for all skill-sets.
Unlike most firearms instruction courses, ATAC does not have a set schedule. Rather, you find a course you want to take and contact ATAC with the week or specific date you would like to train and a class will be booked.
Most classes are taught at an outdoor range in Gap, PA. The range is approximately an one hour drive from Philadelphia. However, classes can be held at any range. Just contact us to plan in advance.
All students will be ran through a NCIC Federal background check prior to booking a class. Felons, scumbags, hoodlums and brigands need not apply.
William “Red” Redheffer is the owner and lead instructor at ATAC and has instructed hundreds of students. He is a five time combat veteran who served as an assaulter with the elite 75th Ranger Regiment. William is an Army Sniper, NRA pistol, rifle and shotgun instructor and a police counter active shooter instructor. Some of his certifications include being a bodyguard through World Protective Services (WPS, US Department of State). William completed several high risk protective details in Afghanistan. He was an employee of US Special Operations Command as an “adviser” in the mountains of Afghanistan. William still serves his country as a Sergeant First Class in the National Guard assigned to a Special Operations Intelligence unit and currently serves his community as a SWAT police officer in a West Philadelphia border township. When not saving the world, William is changing his daughter’s diapers and trying his hardest not to piss off his wife.
